Character identification is a must for this story. Trust me. If you cannot follow who everyone is then you will be unable to follow this tale of torture. Let’s start from the beginning.
My husband Anthony was 15 at the time that he met Dawn for the first time. Dawn was a developing 13 year old. The first time the two met was when they both were participating in a local law enforcement group for teens preparing to enter into this profession after high school. Anthony while very curious about girls wanted to remain friends with both Dawn and her sister Felicia. However, as time progressed the girls began competing for Anthony’s affection. Anthony’s mother Tilly warned him to be wary of the two girls so adamantly competing over his attention. Shortly thereafter the phone calls began; and we’re not talking one or two 30 minute calls a day. The calls were call after call after call after call until Tilly was nearly prepared to remove the telephone from the wall.
Anthony began to date Felicia as she had won the first battle. Yet watching from the sidelines Dawn vowed that while Felicia won the battle in the end she would win the war. Felicia, Dawn and Anthony continued to participate in the law enforcement group as time passed ever so slowly. After continued taunting by Dawn about Anthony; Felicia was pushed to the point where she ended the relationship. So with Dawn age 16 and Anthony age 18 the two began to date and this is where the real drama began….
